| Batch Tunnel Composting | ||
| The Way Forward | All of Stonemark's Environmental batch tunnel systems are designed to give the client a degree of flexibility unrivalled in the composting world. | |
| In the UK open windrowing has been
the pre- dominant method of producing organic waste compost. However BATCH
TUNNEL COMPOSTING is generally acknowledged as the way forward and has been
used by the mushroom composting industry for many years. The technology is
proven! This form of composting offers greater levels of process control through forced aeration. This shortens the processing time and allows for the contained exhaust air to be effectively handled and treated prior to emission to atmosphere. |
|
|
| Other benefits
associated with batch tunnel composting are lower noise levels, the production
of fewer bioaerosols and the elimination of leachate problems. Semi-permanent
or permanent batch tunnels can be designed and built to suit any size of
operation, these can be extended to suit the clients changing requirements or
removed from a site to be rebuilt elsewhere. |
||
| Whatever your waste
disposal requirements are, batch tunnel composting may not be as expensive or
as binding an option as you had originally thought. |
||
| In addition to semi-permanent or permanent batch tunnels Stonemark Industrial also offer a modular, containerised batch tunnel system, the Comp-Act Chamber. | ||
